The intertidal rocks visible from here attract many waders, mainly Turnstones, Purple Sandpipers and Oystercatchers but other species do turn up. A nocturnal Turnstone roost sometimes gathers here and can number 300+. Both Grey and Common Seals occasionally haul out on the rocks or concrete groynes here and Bottlenose Dolphin and Harbour Porpoise can sometimes be seen feeding inshore from here.
