Species Name: Tiphia femorata

Description: This active little wasp hunts for burrowed beetle larvae such as chafer and dung beetle grubs, and instead of making a nest lays it’s eggs within the beetles burrow. Glyne Gap is good place to see this wasp usually seen hunting every insect burrow it can find.
