One afternoon this week I heard one Grey Wagtail singing from the roof of the cinema then saw another at Morrison’s. I regularly hear them on the rooftops of Hastings, Bexhill and Brighton and suspect they have become an unrecognized urban species in winter, largely frequenting the elevated zone, gutters standing in for streams.
