West St leonards cliffs and Maze Hill 7.35-9.00
The sea horizon, Beachy Head and the escarpment of the Downs all hidden by low cloud and mist and a fair passage of migrants coming in from sw or w and heading East. Birds noted were 3 single Robins overhead apparently arriving, Meadow pipit 98 E, Pied/White wagtail 17 E 1 W, Grey wagtail 7 E, Swallow 64 E 10 N 2 W, House martin 1 E, Goldfinch 9 E, Linnet 7 E, Chaffinch 1 E, Siskin 53 E.
12 Chiffchaffs.

West St Leonards 12.30-14.30
An intermittent passage of 200 or more Swallows W.

West Hill 09.45 – 10.10
Swallow 56 W, Meadow Pipit 47 E, Chaffinch 4 W, 5 E, Pied Wagtail 2 E, Goldfinch 4 E, Cormorant 8 W (high overland). 6 Chiffchaffs.
Also of note f5 Jays circling over and a raven
