Hastings Spring Bird Migration Report 2012

11th April

Bulverhythe/Glyne Gap
flocks totalling 75 Meadow pipits came in at 9.45.
At least 7 Wheatears by late morning.
10 Common scoter E and 4 Shelduck W.
Pebsham Marsh
5 swallows
5 Sand martins (House martin present again yesterday)
A pair of Mediterranean gulls over.
Filsham Reedbed
1 Sedge warbler singing.
St Leonards
7 Rooks west at midday.

April 10th
Fairlight-Bulverhythe via HCPNR then Coombehaven and Saxon wethands, 0650-1430:
Nothing at all ! just the long established Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps, though I see Graham had a Swallow.
Probably my worst days spring birding ever in relation to effort expended… AP

April 9th
Galley Hill
1 Willow warbler, 2 Chiffchaffs, 3 Blackcaps.
Glyne Gap
1 Dunlin

1 House Martin, 3 Swallows.
