Hastings Spring Bird Migration report 2012

Saturday 7th April

HCPNR Fairlight-Hastings 0630-0900:
6 singing Willow Warblers, 1 Tree Pipit, 2 Redwing.

Bulverhythe and Pebsham marsh 11 – 1350.
Little noted at first on a late walk except four Linnets and a meadow pipit north, but after midday some birds noted coming in from the south – 17 Meadow pipits, 4 Sand martins and a Swallow.
On the sea off Bulverhythe two Slavonian grebes swimming and diving, one of them in summer plumage and the other, a slightly smaller individual, less advanced in plumage. AG
