Country Park Moths

The clear cold nights continue, but there was a reasonable selection of moths in the Country Park NR trap this chilly morning.

As well as the common spring species , there were single March Moth, Grey Shoulder Knot, Pale Pinion and Muslin Moths. I have caught the latter most years in Fairlight, though the earliest was April 23, so another quite early record [The flight period is given as May-June]. However a Dark Chestnut was a rather late record.Muslin Moth Hastings Country Park NR
