Early morning seawatching from West St Leonards

Early morning (6am-7.30am) seawatching from West St Leonards produced 2 red-throated diver and a group of 7 great crested grebe feeding inshore, but the highlight was a fine black-throated diver that spent the whole morning resting and feeding inshore opposite my flat in West Hill Road. Birds seen flying east included another 3 great crested grebe, 2 red-breasted merganser (probably the same two seen from rock-a-nore), 6 fulmar, 14 gannet, a sandwich tern and a razorbill.
