Moth trapping

Several moths in our Fairlight garden trap this morning, including this Pale Pinion. This is described as “local and thinly distributed in S and SW England”, and is only the second one I’ve caught here, the last being in March 2007.

This moth flies in autumn, overwinters as an adult, and re-appears in March.

Also a Hebrew Character, Dotted Border and 2 Common Quakers.
