Six of the Golden Plover that were seen on the west hill yesterday, were today, down on the shingle by the harbour arm. They appeared very tired and weak, undoubtedly searching for food due to their usual winter habitat of meadows, pasture, open grassland and mudflats being snow-covered and frozen.
