A confusing day with birds very high and going in various directions, estimated totals given:
Redpoll 100 , Chaffinch 20, Brambling 3, Siskin 70, Goldfinch 50, Crossbill 15 [incl f6E and invisible calling birds], Skylark 5, Reed Bunting 5
Goldcrest 14, Ring Ouzel 1 [E end Firehills], Song Thrush 2, Wheatear 1, Chiffchaff 2.

West Hill 07.45 – 09.00
Linnet 3E, 4W, Goldfinch 239E, Chaffinch 36W, Pied Wagtail 5W, Meadow Pipit 5 in, Redpoll 2E, 6W, Greenfinch 3W, Siskin 12W, 13E, Skylark 1 in, Starling 9W, f6 in off & W, Brent 12W.
– plus some additional unidentified small flocks of passage high up and inland.

Crossbills f8 W at 9.55

1 Shag, 1 Cormorant, 80 Greater Black-backed gulls.
