Garden Insects

Quite a few nice things in our small Fairlight garden yesterday. After a cold night, a small selection of moths in the trap included Old Lady and one of my favourite autumn moths, Feathered Gothic. A Hummingbird Hawk Moth zoomed around its favourite Verbena, which was also visited by a smart Painted Lady, one of very few I’ve seen this year. Migrant Hawker and Common Darter dragonflies were around all day; always nice to see was the brightly coloured, introduced Rhododendron Leafhopper- the first this year. Unfortunately i don’t seem able to upload any photos.
