Hastings autumn bird migration 2011

N/ENE-E f3 sunny

Rock-a-Nore 0650- 0750 a clear passage of Common Terns, 49 W. 1 Turnstone heard [my first this autumn but I’ve not looked diligently] AP

Hastings Country Park NR [Visitor centre-Ecclesbourne Meadow ]: 1 Redstart Warren Cottage, 1 Yellow Wagtail W, 3 Willow Warbler. AP & Graham Barker

West Hill 07.30 – 08.15 AG
6 Swifts 5 Swallows and 7 Yellow wagtails over as a NE breeze started. A young Marsh harrier came over the coast and after finding a bit of updraught and circling it sailed west over the town.
1 Willow warbler. 1 Common whitethroat.
