Another Caddis fly

I have posted a picture of this species previously on this site, but was, at that time, unaware of the colour variation within the species. So far all I have previously trapped were similar coloured specimens. This one was quite a surprise in the trap and I think it looks rather splendid in its ‘brown’ appearance. The species is identified by the pale half moon on the rear margin of the wing – and so its latin name – lunatus.
