Morning seabirds

A pleasant hour at Rock-a-Nore from 7 am revealed quite a lot of seabird activity. About 50 each of Sandwich Terns and Gannets were busily feeding offshore, and lots of Herring Gulls were milling about. 4 Kittiwakes flew east, and just as I was about to leave a fine adult pale-phase Arctic Skua flew towards the beach and put up all the loitering gulls, briefly chasing a Herring Gull before flying off to the east.
A Great Crested Grebe also flew east at some considerable distance and height, unusual as they usually fly just above the waves.
