Another Tiger Moth

Jersey Tiger Fairlight

Following on from Crystal’s posting, here is a different Tiger Moth, a Jersy Tiger which was in our Fairlight trap this morning. This was a garden first, these are quite common in the London area, possibly as a result of introductions, otherwise it is commonest in Devon- I don’t know its current status in Sussex.

One response to “Another Tiger Moth

  1. They are quite scarce in Sussex, mainly occurring as migrants, although a cluster of records from Rye and Dungeness a few years back indicate they may have bred in the area. There have been very few records in the Hastings area.
