Hastings Spring Bird Migration

Rock-a-Nore 07.10 – 09.10 CD
Flying east were: 11 Cormorants, 106 BH Gulls, 91 Brents, 3 RT Divers with 1 GC Grebe (7 on the sea), 7 Common Scoters & 4 Sandwich Terns. In addition, 2 Greylags flew E, then W, then E again….while 8 Canada Geese had flown W over our heads just as we arrived. Several flocks of unidentified finches were glimpsed high overhead. 90 GB Gulls were sitting on the harbour arm.
Also in the area: 2 Ravens, 2 Peregrines, 1 Blackcap, Black Redstart singing by lift (probably a pair there.)
