Grebes

A seawatch from Rock-a-Nore yesterday [28th Jan] from 0745-0900 revealed an unusual movement of Great Crested Grebes flying in from the west to feed on the sea -a total of 176.  Normally just a few Grebes can be seen flying, most seem to move by swimming or drifting past the harbour.

388 auks , 82 Red Throated Divers, 15 Gannets and 2 Kittiwakes also flew east
