No more seabirds !

An early morning seawatch from Rock-a-Nore yesterday [18th] showed that the strong westerly movemwnt of seabirds we have seen over the last few days had ceased. There were still about 200 auks flying in both directions, and 15 Razorbills on the sea, but just 11 Kittiwakes going east. 29 Red Throated Divers also went east.

Later I walked from Rock-a-Nore to Bexhill to count the Turnstones [now back to near-normal numbers at 195], and saw no auks at all, the only birds noted on the sea being 2 Great Crested Grebes and one Eider off Glyne Gap.
