Lots of seabirds again

The impressive feeding movement of seabirds off Hastings continues. From 0730-0930 this morning, from Rock-a-Nore,  I counted 736 Kittiwakes [a new record count for me], including lots of smart first winter birds, as pictured, 733 auks which were often close in, revealing both Guillemots and Razorbills, 42 Red Throated Divers, 20 Gannets, just 1 Common Scoter, and 3 Red Breasted Mergansers, all heading west. The number of Common and Black Headed Gulls was much lower than 2 days ago, 1 northern Herring Gull appeared briefly.

Of note was a flock of 80 Cormorants just E of the carpark; there were also 10 Great Crested Grebes.
