Hastings Cemetery, The Ridge

Redwings and Greenfinches
The great statuesque berry-clad Irish Yews at the Cemetery had attracted a good flock of 65 Redwings actively flitting about and mingling with more than 30 Greenfinches. Needless to say a restfull spot; the deep green evergreens attenuating the white marble memorials in the grey light. Mike Grace

  1. I am fortunate to work at the cemetery this peaceful place has its far share of wild birds and other wildlife, its that time of year when there is always an abundance of winter visitors feeding on the yew berries if I see anything interesting I will post some pictures on here over the coming months.

  2. Gordon it would be excellent to see more sightings and photos about Hastings Cemetery posted on wild hastings. I look forward to it.
