Hastings Autumn Landbird Migration Survey

I was able to do a short watch from West St Leonards this morning and was rewarded with a nice westerley movement of woodpigeon and stock dove. Most of the finches on the move were going east. Most unusual though were two woodcock that flew low overhead almost as soon as I stepped out onto the roof terrace.

West St Leonards, 7am-7.30am
Woodpigeon 2000+ west
Stock Dove 300+ west
Chaffinch 58 east
Goldfinch 32 east
Siskin 20 east
Redpoll 38 west
Brambling 6 east
Skylark 3 west
Meadow Pipit 2 west
Pied Wagtail 3 west
Woodcock 2 west
