Rock-a-Nore seabirds again, and HALMS

Another wet and windy morning, so down to the sea again. There was a steady westerly movement of seabirds throughout [0715-0900], totals were : Gannet 80, Sandwich Tern 28, Common Tern, all juveniles, 31, Kittiwake 3, Mediterranean Gull 1, Arctic Skua 2, Brent Goose 7, auk sp. 1. The Med Gull was the first Ive seen along this coast for several weeks, since the breeding birds at Rye departed. Also a Rock Pipit again.

I ran the moth trap in our Fairlight garden yesterday, numbers are low now but included a Black Rustic and a very late green form of Barred Red.
