Yesterday at the Country Park

At and around Warren glen yesterday were a LONG-EARED OWL, a JACK SNIPE, around 200 MEADOW PIPIT, 150 GOLDFINCH, 1 REDWING, 80 LINNET and a RING OUZEL. A fall of GOLDCREST was evident, rather early for these to be appearing, usually found mid-October, also a ROBIN was caught that had put on some fat, indicating that it was a potential migrant.

  1. At least 19 in the Quarry, mixed with a tit flock so probably a few more calls being drowned out by the rather vocal Long-tailed tits.
