Bird ringing at Glyne gap marsh

Not a bad morning with 4 Sedge warbler, single Reed warbler, Cetti’s warbler, Dunnock and 2 Meadow pipits being ringed. The Cetti’s was the first ringed on site for a couple of years although up to 4 pairs are present in this area, and, the Meadow pipits were nice as unlike the Country Park this site fails to attract this species in large numbers.

Also a Dunlin and a Golden plover flew W, as well as around 100 Sand martin, which is a very good count for this late in the year, it’s mainly been Swallows and House martins in the last week or so.
