Seabirds and Moths

A 45 minute seatch in this mornings gale was curtailed by rain, but an Arctic Skua flew west close inshore.

There were a fair number of moths in our Fairlight garden trap despite the rough night, and these included False Mocha, a nationally notable species and a garden first. Neither this or Birch Mocha, which I trapped in 2008, have apparently been recorded in Hastings and St Leonards
