Hornwrack and Kent Black Arches

Further to yesterdays post, in the afternoon I found more Hornwrack by the fishing boats at Rock-a-Nore and took some close up photos which show the individual cells in which the colonial bryozoans live, filtering food from the water with minute tentacles.

In our Fairlight moth trap yesterday were 2 new sprcies for the garden, Yellow Shell, and the scarcer Kent Black Arches, a nationally notable [Nb] species
