Ecclesbourne Meadow

We visited the meadow again on July 8, and although the Grass Vetchling was no longer in flower, and much of the clover “over”, the pea family still stole the show. The tall scrambling stems of Yellow Vetchling  were most prominent, The pink flowers of Restharrow are starting to open, there were occasional blue splashes of Tufted Vetch, and low vivid yellow patches of Dyers Greenweed. Not surprisingly we found more bees and butterflies here than elsewhere on our walk
