Sea Bindweed and Squid Eggs

Behind the bund which was to prevent erosion of the cliffs at Fairlight, a linear saltmarsh and a stable shingle beach have developed. Today, while inspecting the beach, I was delighted to come across a small patch of Sea Bindweed, which has large-4 cm-flowers and kidney shaped leaves. I believe this is frequent in the dunes at Camber, but Ive not seen it anywhere for many years. Lower down the beach I came across several small stranded jellyfish, and a large squid egg mass.
